The website only collects data that you voluntarily provide to us:
- Email address, when you subscribe to Le Courrier d’AFRO BRAIN, ask to be informed about the book launch, or request the free colouring page.
AFRO BRAIN® does not request any other personal information through its current forms. As with any website, technical connection data, including IP address, browser type and security logs, may nevertheless be processed automatically by the hosting provider to ensure operation, security and abuse prevention. The website does not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising tracking tools. A language preference (FR/EN) may be stored locally on your device; it never leaves your browser.
3. Purposes and legal basis
Your email address is used to send you the free colouring page when you request it and to keep you informed about AFRO BRAIN® news: the launch of the book “Fier de mes couleurs”, club content and related offers. The legal basis for these communications is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Technical processing that is strictly necessary for the operation and security of the website is based on our legitimate interest in securing the service.
4. Retention period
Your email address is retained for as long as you remain subscribed to Le Courrier d’AFRO BRAIN, and for no longer than 3 years after your last interaction. If you unsubscribe, communications stop immediately. Brevo may retain your unsubscribe status and the information strictly necessary to respect your choice over time and prevent accidental re-subscription or sending.
5. Data recipients
Your data is not sold, rented or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. It may be processed, solely as necessary to provide the service, by our hosting provider (Hostinger International Ltd) and by Brevo, our email sending and management provider. Brevo processes, in particular, the email address required for subscription, the sending of Le Courrier d’AFRO BRAIN and unsubscribe management. Brevo states that the servers on which it processes and stores its databases are located in the European Union.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@afrobrain.fr. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
7. Security
The website is served over HTTPS and we implement reasonable measures to protect your data against unauthorised access. According to information published by Brevo, data managed by Brevo for email delivery is stored on servers located in the European Union.
